KCB Bank Uganda's 2025 SME Forums: Empowering Businesses Across the Nation
KCB Bank Uganda has successfully wrapped up its 2025 SME Forums, a three-month initiative aimed at empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) nationwide. The final session, held at the Fairway Hotel, marked the culmination of a journey to bridge the knowledge and financing gaps faced by businesses across diverse sectors.
The forums, spanning key regions from Elgon Masaba to Kampala, directly engaged entrepreneurs in vital sectors like agriculture, construction, real estate, petroleum, education, and sports. This nationwide approach showcased KCB Bank Uganda's commitment to understanding and addressing the unique financial needs of SMEs in Uganda's varied business landscape.
At the closing event, Edgar Byamah, Managing Director of KCB Bank Uganda, expressed gratitude to the bank's customers:

The final session offered practical tools for SME growth, including a comprehensive presentation on KCB Bank's SME Bank Solutions, designed to strengthen business operations and drive expansion. Wensi Niwagaba, SME Manager, led a session on navigating common challenges faced by SMEs, emphasizing the bank's role as a true partner.
"Our mission is to be a trusted partner to these enterprises. Through our 10 forums, we've gained valuable insights. By offering sector-specific financing and robust solutions, we actively enable SMEs to build resilience and accelerate growth in a competitive environment," Niwagaba said.
The solutions highlighted included agriculture financing, insurance premium financing, unsecured short-term facilities, and unsecured school bridge facilities. The forum also showcased specialized support programs, such as the Female Led & Made Enterprises (FLME) initiative, empowering women entrepreneurs, and dedicated assurance banking services for enhanced financial security.
KCB Bank Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to advancing financial inclusion and driving economic development through continued engagement with SMEs, solidifying its role as a key enabler in Uganda's business ecosystem.
