"I understand the desire to help and support, but please, always verify the source," she urged. "These scammers are preying on people's kindness and good intentions."

In her post, Szubanski included a link to her official Instagram account, ensuring her supporters could easily find the real her. "I am grateful for the love and support I've received, but please, let's not let scammers take advantage of that kindness."
