Big changes are coming to your radio dial! Westwood One is shaking things up in the CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) world, and it's time to take note. Starting Monday, January 5th, the nightly show is getting a complete makeover. Say goodbye to "The Elliott Show," and hello to "Nightly with Jade and Tyler!"
This new program promises a fresh dose of energy, music savvy, and engaging personalities to keep you, the listener, hooked. But who are these new voices taking over your evenings?
Leading the charge are Jade Jones, currently the afternoon host at Atlanta's Q99.7 (WWWQ), and Tyler Frye, who's been waking up Kansas City on 107.3 The Vibe (KMJK). Westwood One is clearly betting on this dynamic duo to bring something special to the airwaves.
Jade's journey began as an intern for the Bert Show, leading her to host nights and then afternoons at WWWQ since 2018. Tyler, on the other hand, joined "95.7 The Vibe" in Kansas City back in December 2021 as a midday host before transitioning to mornings when the station shifted to 107.3 in October 2023. Before his Kansas City gig, Tyler spent a solid seven years hosting nights at Cumulus' 104.1 KRBE in Houston. He's also graced the airwaves at iHeartMedia's G105 in Raleigh and Max Media's Hot 107.1 in Denver. Talk about experience!
The current show, previously known as "Elliott and Nina," debuted in January 2022. However, co-host Nina Hajian departed at the start of 2023 and is now co-hosting the syndicated Jubal Show. And this is the part most people miss... There's no word yet on what's next for Elliott King.
