The Local Government Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim, has praised Zoomlion Ghana Limited and its parent company, Jospong Group, for their indispensable role in Ghana's development. He emphasized that the Group's work in environmental sanitation, waste management, public health, and modern local governance is essential and has a profound impact on the nation. Mr. Ibrahim highlighted the Group's resilience and survival across different political administrations, attributing it to the Group's greatness and impactful work. He also credited Zoomlion's initiatives for cleaner water bodies, safer environments, healthier communities, and job creation for young people across Ghana. Furthermore, he placed Zoomlion's rise in a historic context, declaring it as 'Africa's third great movement' alongside Ghana's liberation efforts and the Black Stars' football success. The Minister praised Zoomlion's continental footprint, questioning the presence of any other Ghanaian company in 25 African countries. He described this achievement as historical and inspirational, showcasing Ghanaian excellence guided by discipline, vision, and ethical principles. The government's commitment to deepening this partnership was reaffirmed, solidifying Zoomlion's central role in Ghana's development. The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group, Dr. Siaw Agyepong, attributed the Group's remarkable growth to divine providence and national support. He reflected on the Group's evolution, detailing the scale of their environmental arm, Zoomlion, which now operates 36 functional plants across solid waste, liquid waste, and medical waste treatment. Dr. Agyepong expressed gratitude to the late President Jerry John Rawlings, the late President Prof. John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills, former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama for their support. He framed the Group's success as a manifestation of divine covenant and a national testimony of what is possible with vision and enablement.
